Mission

The Mission of LA is to help guide students in the development of their character and academic potential through an academically rigorous, college preparatory educational program

Target Student Population

LA is designed for families and students who desire a strong college preparatory program in a small school environment. The goal is to prepare students to successfully complete a 4-year college degree. Students sharing this goal will find the curriculum and high academic expectations of LA to be a good fit. Students with other goals may struggle with the expectations of LA

Home School Program

Families who have chosen to home school their children can access LA courses to supplements coursework at home. Students can take 3 or 4 courses at LA as part-time students. Home school students will be expected to meet the same academic and behavioral expectations as full-time students. No diplomas will be awarded, but transcripts of courses will be available. Parents and students interested in this program need to fill out a Letter of Intent.

Course Offerings

LA offers courses in English, history, math, science, and world languages in addition to electives in physical education, art, music, drama, and other subjects. 


Graduation Requirements
Graduation requirements for LA are based on recommendations of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. These graduation requirements are designed to not only meet the admission expectations of various universities, but also to give students the best possible opportunity to successfully complete a 4-year college degree.

Admissions

Legacy Academy High School is a public school of choice, and as a public school requires no tuition. Students wishing to enroll must fill out a letter of intent to enroll, which the school accepts year round. If the school has more applicants than space by March 1st for the following year, a lottery will be held. Preference will be given to applicants who are children of board members and full-time staff in addition to siblings of students currently enrolled at the school. LA does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sex, national origin, religion, ancestry, disability or need for special services
